Dear Lori, Thank you
for your reply regarding `wicca'.
There are undoubtedly
many religions all over the world. One has freedom to choose a
religion according to one's faith. One must see whether the
religion of his or her should keep one in love, harmony,
co-operation and peace with people.
You referred to
Lord Krishna as goddess. It is not correct. Actually He is
God. He declares in Bhagavad-Gita (the famous Vedic scripture)
that He is the Supreme Cause of all causes, the Source of
everything, the Lord of gods and goddesses, the Controller of
the entire universem the Father of all, and so on. Even, to
many persons including even Hindu ones, Krishna is the
mythological hero or one of the Hindu gods. Yet some of them
are bewildered when they worship Him. Undoubtedly Krishna is
eternally situated in the heart of every living entity as the
Supersoul. Yet He is in His abode Krishnaloka in the spiritual
universe and is also omnipresent, omniscient and omnipotent.
He is the Master of mystics. He can become smaller than the
smallest and bigger than the biggest. One should not invent
his speculative ideas of Lord Krishna, but accept the
authority of Bhagavad-Gita to believe His words. However He
gives us freedom to choose Him or reject Him. I want to avail
myself of such freedom to be surrendered to the lotus feet of
Lord Krishna.
Yes! Hare Krishna Welfare for the Deaf
belongs to New Ages and I want it to be in tune with the
modern/jet years though Krishna conciousness is
traditional.
Any questions?
Hare Krishna!
Anantadev Das
I lived in Ocala, Florida. I am
married about 16 years until now. I am wicca then I am explain
what is wicca this is refers to a religion that many ( but not
all witches practice. Wicca is an Earth-based religion that
honors both the God and the Goddess. The word witch comes from
the Old English words " wicce" , which means " female witch",
and "wicca", meaning "wizard". A witch is someone who uses
magick in his or her everyday life. That is all.I alway
interesting about New Ages through world. That many different
for occults, new ages..etc. I alway stay faithfully with the
Goddess and God. I know that Krishna is Goddess. I need
feeling more health than problem.
Brightest Blessings,
Lori *~IsisMoonShadow~*

How to face Maya
Sridhar's
Compilation Anantadev's editing How to face Maya
effectively?
Maya is the sum total of worldly
attractions which takes one away from God or godly forces. To
control temptations avoid boastfulness or overconfidence,
always be mild and surrender yourself completely at the holy
feet of the Almighty. God is benevolent enough to break all
the Karmic shackles of your so many past lives. So, you should
apply faith, devotion and yearning. Be sure that God is always
merciful and that He forgives all your mistakes and misdeeds.
He is for your upliftment only. He never curses you and He is
already to fondle you when you yearn from Him with sincerity
and simplicity. Develop catholicity and worship Him in all
forms, adore Him in all names glorify Him in all
fame.
Adjust your nature to depict godly qualities of
love, patience, forgiveness, dutifulness and selflessness to
the maximum. Never be angry. Never be short tempered. God is
examing you from within or without, from all sides, always and
He reviews your behaviour day and night. He gives (+) for your
good qualities, He gives (-) for your bad habits and thus you
can mould your destiny each and every second of your
life.
He is impartial and very generous. So try to be
devoted, dedicated and determined and succeed at the
earliest. Note by Anantadev Das : Maya is described by
Bhagavad-Gita as one of the energies of the Lord. Maya means
an illusory (unreal) energy.

Shri
Krishna Janmashtami
To Members, Shri Krishna
Janmashtami ( the appearance day of Lord Krishna, the Supreme
Personality of Godhead) falls on Sunday, 12th August. It is
said in Bhagavad-Gita that whoever understands the importance
of Krishna's appearance and activities goes back to the
spiritual world and does not return to this material world
after death. So celebration of Janmashtami is very auspicious
for it can give us opportunities to revive our lost
relationship with Krishna, do something special for Him,
improve our karma in this life and next life and in this way
receive His special mercy. Janmashtami will be celebrated in
Bangalore and Mumbai on Sunday, 12th August 2001.
The
estimated budget for Janmashtami celebration is Rs.20,000/= (
including shamiana, food(prasadam), banners, electrical
expenses, flowers, service charges and others).
Donate
Generously We request you to donate generously for
Janmashtami celebration. Whoever donates can take great
opportunities to be blessed by the Lord who emphasizes the
importance of charity in the mode of goodness. The rest of the
donations will be utilised for the deaf's welfare.
In
case of a cheque, it should be in favour of `League of
Devotees'.
You can either post or hand donation over to
me. ( if you want to give donation to someone personally in
Mumbai, meet Amardeep Sekhari or Tushar Kansara)

Cycle
of Elements
Dear Members, Hare Krishna! I
think that many of you know Mrithyunjayan Shridhar as one who
sometimes emails spiritual and philosophical messages to our
mail group for your perusal/pleasure. He who was my schoolmate
in Mumbai culls quotations from some books for my approval to
be circulated to all of you. Being religious-minded, he who
stays with his deaf wife and hearing daughter in Mumbai
sometimes attends my Bhagavad-Gita programme. Hope all of you
enjoy his compilations.
Hare Krishna! Anantadev
Das
Shridhar's compilation
Cycle of
elements
There are 5 elements in nature. These are
WOOD, FIRE, EARTH, METAL AND WATER.
These elements are
inter-related in two ways, which means that there are two
types of cycles of these elements. The Productive cycle and
the Destructive cycle.
Productive Cycle: Wood
produces fire, which means you can produce fire by burning
wood. Fire in turn produces earth because the fire burns and
creates ash (earth). Earth produces metal, because metal is
mined from the earth. Metal produces water, this is said
because metal can be melted and then it acquires liquid state
like water. Water produces wood because by watering only we
can grow plants.
Destructive Cycle: Wood destroys
earth because trees grow on earth and suck away all minerals
and leave the earth. Fire destroys metal because fire melts
the fire. Earth destroys water, because earth (mud) absorbs
all the water, when it rains. Metal destroys woods, because
implements made of sharp metal can cut the trees. Water
destroys fire because water can put off any fire.

Dear Ananta, 12th March 2001
First,
allow me to congratulate you on the well-organised programme
last night and also wish you all the success you need in
future for the spread of good values & healthy lifestyles.
It is commendable that you integrate yourself into the Deaf
community in Bangalore for their moral sustenance and
upliftment. It was really heartening to see families and
individuals of different religions present to support this
event in times of communal strife other regions of India and
other nations.
Though I arrived at the programme late,
I enjoyed whatever I saw and also interaction with all my deaf
friends after it ended. One little point to take note of,
though; I don't know if I should call it healthy criticism or
accept it aspart of Deaf culture, but I have observed many of
the deaf present do not give their undivided attention to the
proceedings but carry on their personal conversations among
themselves. I suppose it is acceptable if the programme is of
dubious quality, but this should not be the case when it is of
the calibre of last night's programme, more so when it is of a
devotional nature. What do you think?
Anyway, I
congratulate you once again on the smoothly directed &
well- planned celebration, which I am sure would not have been
as good as it was without the co-operation of all those
mentioned in your email.
Wishing you
well,
Christine. (Promising young hearing
interpreter from Bangalore)
